This system is my crown jewel. I built it on the shoulders of the CTS 4X system and took it to the next level. During the CTS 4X system's
development I began testing it on the US market indexes along side the currency pairs I traded. It worked extremely well but the moves
were not as big as the moves in the currencies. The indices were range bound most of the time and I knew I could do much, much better.
To be quite honest, the reason I began looking at the indices was that I started having lots of problems with brokers. As you probably
know, most retail 4X brokers are market makers and when you enter a trade they are taking the other side of it. Your orders are not sent
to the banks as some of them would have you believe through cleaver wording.
Without going in great detail here, the jest of this is when you close a profitable trade you are taking money out of the market maker’s
pockets. If you loose your trade they keep the funds as their profits. Since most traders loose this is a low risk investment for market
makers.
However, if you become very successful trader, you methodically scalp during the news reports and close large profitable trades on a
consistent basis you might begin to have problems with your broker if they are a market maker. I had trades reversed, I got shut down
by several brokers and started having problems with the ones I’d go to afterwards within just a few weeks of opening my accounts. I was
extremely frustrated and down right angry.
So I knew that I had to change where I was trading and possibly what I was doing in order to make day trading a real future for me. On
the advice of a very good friend I transferred 90% of my funds to a futures broker and began trading currency futures almost exclusively.
The only 4X pairs I watched with my 4X brokers were the GBPJPY, GBPCHF, EURJPY and sometimes the AUDJPY which are either not
available in the futures market or have very low liquidity.
Once I made the switch I was very pleased that most of my problems disappeared. Honestly, the only issue that I had left was having to
retain a 4X broker for trading the GBPJPY and the other pairs I mentioned above. Other than that I was a happy camper.
After changing to currency futures I began testing the US market indices because of the liquidity available there. I was astonished with
what I found!
When I began trading it was with news report trading. I would get in on the spike, take a nice profit and get out...extremely low risk. I
had been longing for something like that ever since the retail 4X stopped most of the news spike traders in their tracks...me included.
What I was looking for was extremely low spreads, the ability to trade a lot per contract without upsetting a broker and the freedom to
trade however I wished, be it scalping or during news reports.
The US indices provided me that opportunity in awesome way! I had found what I had been looking for all along...
I discovered that there was so much more potential in developing a trading system for futures with real volume that I ran with it! This
was the next best thing to the good old days of news spike trading.
I took the basics of the CTS 4X system and built a system for the indexes from the ground up. This took over 1 1/2 years to complete
and it was extremely difficult, more so than the development of the CTS 4X system. But it was well worth it.
I’m proud to say that I’ve developed a system that works wonderful! I’m able to pull profits out of the market within just a few minutes
every day and I don’t have to worry about getting mistreated by market makers. The futures market is a much fairer playing field than
the retail 4X and my fear of horrible brokers is gone!
